Hi, I'm Lesley. I'm a marriage and family therapist, speaker, and consultant to parents and professionals that specializes in trauma and behavior. As a therapist, I believe we all have a path toward greater harmony - both within us and in relationship with others. 

I work with clients ages 4 and older and will see individuals, couples, and families. I take a relational approach to therapy, and believe that behaviors, thought patterns, and recurring challenges often take root in past experiences and interactions. My role is to come alongside clients to help navigate a journey to better understanding, and ultimately, better responses to all forms of stress. 

My therapeutic approach is primarily centered on attachment theory, child-centered play therapy, Theraplay, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, internal family systems, the neurosequential model, and development and depth psychology. I believe in a whole-brain and body approach to healing and will recommend clients expand their experience beyond talk therapy by incorporating various types of somatic work with trusted professionals when appropriate.

I received a master of science in marriage and family therapy from Friends University in Kansas City, Kansas. Prior to that, I earned a bachelor of arts in sociology with a research concentration on institutional inequality and a minor in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I'm currently serving my second year as faculty for the Kansas Academy of Victim Assistance and hold membership in the Women in Leadership Board of Advisors, University of Oklahoma, for the 2025-2026 term. I have trained over 3,000 professionals, parents, and community members across 13 states including conference presentations at The Montana Institute, The Kansas Crime Vicitms' Rights Conference, The Kansas School Nurses Conference, and direct work with The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Kansas, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and more.
